NSPE President Comments on Ethics before Department of Energy Commission

NSPE President Michael Hardy commented before the Blue Ribbon Commission on America's Nuclear Future on the role of professional engineers in nuclear safety. NSPE's comments focused on the ethics and sense of personal responsibility that influence a PE's decision-making process. Read NSPE's comments here. The Blue Ribbon Commission is part of the Department of Energy's Office of Nuclear Energy. The Commission has been tasked with conducting a comprehensive review of policies for managing the back end of the nuclear fuel cycle, including all alternatives for the storage, processing, and disposal of civilian and defense used nuclear fuel, high-level waste, and materials derived from nuclear activities.
